DEAR JESUS (Lorraine Hess)
(May 8, 2009 Slidell, LA) - Today I received the news from a friend, a former parishioner at St. Rita in Harahan, LA, that one of my songs was included in an debut album by a Christian music recording artist out of New Orleans by the name of Lorraine Hess. Without thinking twice I made a run to the closest Religious Gift Shop in town to see/hear it for myself and it turned out to be true. Wow! The song was really there with my name on it and my insignificant Fro's Music Publishing. What a blessing and honor; at first glance I thought it was Celine Dion on the cover album; she looks just like her. What a great voice and talent she is; what a special gift she is from God to us.

DEAR JESUS (Steve Thomas)
This is considered to be Fro's most widely-performed work, from an echoing local churches in the New Orleans area to a very upbeat suburban church in West Palm Beach, Florida; to missionary Fiji Island and Thailand; to a quiet but enthusiastic youth choir in Catigbian, Bohol, Philippines. This song has also been played over and over at FM Station DYRD in Tagbilaran City (Bohol, Philippines), especially during Holy Week celebrations.

DEAR JESUS (Sara Estes)
This is the first ever recording of Dear Jesus that was released in an album, Dear Jesus, in 1994 when I was already at St. Ann's Church & Shrine in Metairie, LA. This version was sung by Sara Estes, then a sophomore at Dominican High School in New Orleans, and a long time member of my youth choir, the St. Rita Youth Choir. The piano was played by her mom, Peggy, on a Yamaha Clavinova at their residence while the vocals and the other sounds was dubbed at my HRS, Fro Audio, at St. Rita's Rectory in Harahan. This song became a permanent fixture of the youth choir who covered the 8pm Mass at St. Rita's in the early nineties.

DEAR JESUS (Father Roel)
This version counterparts Sara Estes' version in the Dear Jesus album in 1994 using the same music track she recorded on. Why did I record it? For no reason really except as an "album filler" (LoL). Honestly I didn't like my voice then (til now), but I felt it would be a remiss for me not to sing my most favorite composition hahaha. And so I did... on my insignificant HRS (Home Recording Studio)

DEAR JESUS (Prayers)
These are selected Dear Jesus Prayers composed and prayed by the 5th Graders of St. Rita School in Harahan under the then Miss Ann Pankratz. Recorded at St. Rita Rectory in 1994.
(Note: One of the prayers here was recited by Sara Estes when she was 2 and purposely was included in the album because of her being the first interpreter of the Dear Jesus Song)
(Note 2: You may have to click each prayer to hear because the "shuffle" feature here seems to not work automatically. Thanks)
